Eastern Townships Partners for Health and Social Services – Montérégie-East (ME) Network Retention Initiative
This project aims to increase the pool of human resources able to provide services in English in Montérégie-Centre by making the promotion of careers in health and social services, by developing and maintaining a student data bank as well as by holding linguistic and cultural adaptation activities.
Building on the strong relationship ME network agents have with the CIUSSS-CHUS teams deployed across the region as well as with the educational institutions at work on the territory, the ME Network Retention Initiative maintains activities that include: 1 – networking for current and recently graduated health and social services students; 2 – maintenance of career catalogue created via Golden Share Initiatives, 3 – collaborative activities with Make Way for YOUTH participants (Place aux jeunes en région); 4 – promoting and facilitating student access to the annual Dialogue McGill Health and Social Services Community Network Bursary program.
This project aims to:
Engage with the health and social services network and educational institutions in the part of the CIUSSS-CHUS health region of Quebec newly annexed to Estrie (the Montérégie-East) as a result of Bill 10’s adoption on April 2015.
Promote careers in health to English-speaking youth, support and encourage student success in the field of health and social services and monitor students’ educational path in la region.
