Léa Dumont, MA

Léa Dumont completed her master’s studies in 2024. Her thesis examines the impact of linguistic insecurity on learners in the Canadian postsecondary context, focusing on the causes, manifestations, and consequences of this phenomenon on linguistic identity, educational success, and mental health. Her research interests include multilingualism and bilingualism, linguistic identity and representations, Francophone communities, and linguistic minorities. Through her work, she seeks to promote the inclusion and recognition of speakers from minority and immigrant backgrounds within Canadian society.

Léa joined the Dialogue McGill team as a Faculty Lecturer in 2025.
