Lorraine O’Donnell, PhD

Lorraine O’Donnell has a Ph.D. in History (McGill), a Master's in History (York), and a Graduate Diploma in Community Economic Development (Concordia). She is Senior Research Associate and Advisor at Concordia University's Quebec English-Speaking Communities Research Network (QUESCREN), where since 2008 she has led day-to-day operations. Before that, she worked as archivist, researcher, teacher, and public historian. Lorraine is also Affiliate Professor with Concordia’s School of Community and Public Affairs.

Lorraine's research focus is Canadian women's history and history/heritage projects that involve and help build communities. Her Master’s degree major research paper was on women’s unpaid work in response to the 1937 polio epidemic in Toronto.
