HLSL proposes to work in collaboration with McGill Dialogue program & a number of public & community partners such as the CISSS BSL, educational institutions, and our NPI network to maximize the RETENTION, the RETURN or RECRUITMENT of bilingual health & social service professionals and intake workers in the Lower Saint Lawrence region.

Our proposal includes:

1. Promotion of H&SS careers to bilingual students

2. Maintenance and use of the McGill Student data bank tool

3. Promotion and management of the McGill H&SS Bursary Program

4. Collaboration with the CISSS BSL and educational institutions to support internship placement for bilingual H&SS students and employment of bilingual H&SS professionals and intake workers

5. Creation, promotion & delivery of English practice opportunities for H&SS services professionals and intake workers
