The McGill Professional Schools Targeted Bursary Program is for students pursuing full-time studies in eligible McGill health care and social service programs with direct entry to licensure. Students must have appropriate English and French language fluency levels and be eligible for licensure by their professional order.
This Program is part of Dialogue McGill’s Recruitment and Retention Program.
Bursary amounts: 10,000$
The bursary is for one (1) academic year. There is no maximum number of bursaries a student can receive under this program
Eligibility:
The McGill Professional Schools Targeted Bursary Program is open to students who:
are Canadian citizens (or permanent residents) who have resided in the country for at least 24 months;
have the appropriate English and French language skills to provide services in a health and social services institution in Quebec;
are currently accepted and/or registered for full-time studies into an eligible McGill Professional School’s program with direct entry to licensure;
are registered full-time for the application period’s academic year;
are committed, following completion of studies, to stay in the province of Quebec to work as a health care and social services provider in a public institution* for a minimum of one year, per bursary awarded;
agree to participate in any follow-up, monitoring or evaluation of the McGill Professional School Targeted Student Bursary Program conducted by the Dialogue McGill and / or the relevant professional school.
* Note: Students in the Applied Speech Language Pathology Program (MSc (A)) at McGill’s School of Communication Sciences and Disorders can work in either a public institution or a related organization.
